Q1: Will my cat want to use Cura X1? How can I help my cat adapt?
Most cats switch to Cura X1 successfully. The following tips can help your cat better adapt to the new litter box.
1) Transitional setup: keep the power off for the first 3 days and mix the litter from the old litter box into the Cura X1 to retain the cat odor.
2) Manual mode activation: after powering on the 4th day, manually trigger the cleaning with the APP in front of the cat (let ta understand the machine is harmless).
- Reward mechanism: reward with snacks immediately after toileting to establish a positive association.
II. Safety and Health
Q2: How does Cura X1 keep cats safe? Will the cat get stuck?
The Cura X1 smart litter box uses multiple safety protections to protect the safety of cats. Its open entrance is always open, so cats can enter and exit safely at any time. Four sets of high-precision weight sensors detect weight changes in the litter box. When the weight change is ≥1KG, the litter box will automatically pause the cleaning operation (ps. If your cat weighs less than 1.5kg, it is recommended to turn on the kitten mode). There are 4 built-in infrared sensors above the waste bin, which can detect whether the cat enters the opening of the waste bin. If the cat enters by mistake, the litter box will pause cleaning to prevent the cat from being accidentally pinched.
Q3: Can Cura X1 analyze the composition of urine and stool? Is it accurate?
Amicura Cura X1 Smart Litter Box can record in real time: cat toilet frequency and toilet time. By analyzing the daily data (change in toilet frequency), abnormalities can be detected in a timely manner.The Cura X1 litter box does not detect urine or fecal content.
III. Cleaning, deodorization and maintenance
Q4: How effective is the deodorization? Will there be a strong odor when changing the garbage bag?
The Amicura Cura X1 cat litter box adopts an independent feces collection bin and garbage bag buckle design, which can more effectively control odor. The feces collection bin and the cat litter bin are physically isolated. When not cleaned, the feces collection bin is sealed tightly to lock the odor firmly.
Garbage bag buckle design: Before cleaning, just pull it lightly to seal the garbage bag in advance, minimize the overflow of odor, and effectively avoid the trouble of stinking when changing the garbage bag.
Q5: Will cleanup wait for the litter to clump? How long is the delay?
Amicura Cura X1 has an intelligent delay mechanism, the default waiting time for clumping is 3 minutes. You can set the waiting time for clumping (0-60 minutes free adjustment) in APP according to your cat's defecation status and litter type, so that the cleaning rhythm can better match your cat's habits.
Q6: Is it compatible with eco-friendly cat litter such as pine/tofu litter?
We recommend mineral agglomerated litter for the best coagulation and more accurate monitoring; we also recommend tofu litter because this type of litter is low-dust, deodorizing, and can be agglomerated quickly. We do not recommend pine or pulp litter because it cannot be agglomerated and will affect the cleaning results of the automatic litter box.
IV. Size and space adaptation
Q7: Is it suitable for Maine Coons? What is the actual internal size?
The entrance width of Amicura Cura X1 is 50cm, and the internal space is 50L, which can accommodate cats under 10kg. The cat litter box is large enough for cats to turn around and dig sand freely. If the size of the cat is larger than the internal dimensions, we recommend using a litter box with a larger capacity.
Q8: How much floor space does it take up? Is it suitable for a one-bedroom apartment?
The dimensions of the Amicura Cura X1 are 60×50×53.6cm (when placing it, you need to reserve 30cm of drawer space in the front and 10cm of space in the back). The Cura X1 cat litter box does not take up much space and can be placed in a one-bedroom apartment. We recommend placing it on the balcony or in the dry area of the bathroom.
